Our June 20, 2009 Chapter Meeting promises to be a special meeting when Mr. Terry Manning, GASSAR President will speak about the “American Indian Wars (1620 – 1755)”. Terry will present an overview of the Indian wars that weakened the Indian nations and contributed to the European settlement of North America and their impact on Indian participation in the Seven Years War and the Revolutionary War.

Terry is a graduate of Ohio State University and was a radarman for 4 years in the United States Navy. He is a retired Auditor-in-Charge for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Inspector General where he specialized for over 20 years in reviewing hospital administration and construction projects undertaken by the VA. He and his wife Ginny live in Lilburn in Gwinnett County.
His favorite pastimes are duplicate bridge, genealogy, gardening, lecturing, and volunteering in activities of various clubs and service organizations. He is a Bronze Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League, has traced his lineage to over 25 Revolutionary War patriots, and is a Master Gardener. He serves in a variety of positions in several organizations and is most active in the Sons of the American Revolution, serving presently as the Georgia Society’s President.
