2010 February 20 Meeting

The Piedmont Chapter's 16th Anniversary Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet will be held at the Best Western Motel 907 Holcomb Bridge Road Roswell, Georgia on February 20, 2010. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner. The speaker will be Colonel (Retired) Cliff Lowery.

 Clifford Carmichael Lowery

Bio: Clifford Carmichael Lowery

Born in Monroe, GA on July 19, 1941 to Mercer B. Lowery and Sarah Carmichael Lowery.

Education: Graduate of Monroe High School, 1959; Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, University of Georgia 1963; Juris Doctorate, John Marshal Law 1977

Married Barbara Lloyd Stahl August 26, 1967 and had 2 children, Celeste and Clifford Jr. He has 5 grandchildren, Isabella, Reed, Christian, Olivia, and Remy

Comissioned Second Lieutenant of the US ARMY in July 1963; Retired as Colonel in August 1992.

Cliff is a life member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is active in his Scottish heritage; Director of Clan Carmichael USA and a long time member of the St Andrews Society. He works on the Stone Mountain Games Committee and helps churches in the Atlanta area with celebration of the Kirking Tartans. He and Barbara are Active members of Eastminister Presbyterian Church.

Since retiring from the ARMY, Cliff worked for 15 yrs as a Field Manager for ATT and BellSouth supervising the delivery of new phone books. He retired from that job to begin a 3rd career. He began work toward a masters in Practical Ministry at Erskine Semminary this Fall.
