Speaker, Gary Mauldin, from the US Army Corps of Engineers
Our April 18th chapter meeting promises to be not only timely but lively, with questions from the floor welcomed by our very experienced speaker, Gary Mauldin, from the US Army Corps of Engineers. His bio is attached.
Recent drought announcements (“its Over”) may make us wonder what is happening in reality. Lake Lanier is still 10 feet below full pool! Bring your favorite news clippings!
Gary will use a PowerPoint presentation to discuss the Corps water control mission, organization and latest updates to the water control reference manual for water resources management over the Alabama and Georgia watersheds. He is experienced with the issues of the tri-state Water Wars too and the role the Corps plays in that contest.
Gary Mauldin is a Hydraulic Engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and works in the South Atlantic Division office in Atlanta, GA. Gary has a Bachelor degree from Georgia Tech in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree from Colorado State University in Water Resources Planning and Management.
