Milton City Council Meeting

After having been given a ride home from school on a City of Milton fire truck,

a further presentation to Northwestern Middle School students Alex Barker,

Matt Ballard, Walker Holman and Chloe Myles was made by the Mayor and

City Council of Milton in recognition of their bravery for spotting and putting

out a fire in their neighborhood.

Further honors were conveyed by the Piedmont Chapter in awarding to each

student a Bronze Good Citizenship Medal. The first went to Matt Ballard while

Paul Prescott looks on proudly. No wonder - Matt is Paul's Grandson.

All in all, it was a good day for all, and well deserved.

The citation read: "Under his leadership, the Georgia Society Color Guard exemplified the "Spirit of the SAR" to others in the district by continuing to lead Color Guards in numerous Historic Sites programs in several states.
